FAQ

Any questions?

Who can open a živnost in Czechia?

EU citizens — with almost no restrictions. Citizens of other countries need a residence permit that allows business (for example a business residence permit or PR). We will tell you whether your status qualifies during the consultation.

How long does it take?

Usually about 7 days including document preparation. Registration at the trade office itself is fast — collecting the certificates takes the most time.

What documents are needed?

A passport, proof of legal stay (residence permit or PR), a criminal-record certificate and a registered address. Some activities also require proof of qualification. We will put together the exact list for your case.

Do I need to speak Czech?

No. We handle all communication with the authorities and the paperwork — you will not have to deal with Czech bureaucracy yourself.

What taxes does a sole trader pay?

You can choose the flat-rate scheme (paušální daň) or ordinary taxation — it depends on your income and activity. We will help you pick the best option, and the complete package includes a consultation with an accountant.
