A certified translation is an official translation that is authenticated by a licensed certified translator with their seal and signature. Such translations are required for submitting documents to the Ministry of the Interior, courts, universities, and other government agencies in the Czech Republic. The cost of a certified translation is calculated based on standard pages—standard units of text volume equal to 1,800 characters including spaces. The volume of the translation and the price depend on the actual amount of text, not the number of pages.

Important: A certified translation is not the same as notarization. A notary public only certifies the signature, while a certified translator is responsible for the quality and accuracy of the translation.
How do I formalize the transfer?
A court translation requires either the original document or a certified copy. You can have a copy certified by us for 50 CZK per page, by a notary or at the Czech Post Office at the checkpoint. You can send the document by post or bring it in person to our office in Prague or Brno.
Let us know which language your document needs to be translated into. Also specify if there is a specific deadline, for example, if the translation is urgent. We will take your wishes into account and do our best to fulfill your order on time.
Upon receipt of the document, we will calculate the exact number of normal pages (1800 characters with spaces = 1 normal page) and inform you of the final cost and deadline of the translation.
Payment can be made in cash at our office. If you are sending the documents by mail, you will also need to pay 200 CZK for return shipping within the Czech Republic. We will send you all the payment details along with the invoice.
Once the translation is ready, you can pick up the documents in person at the office or order delivery. We guarantee that all translations will be done accurately and meet the requirements of the Czech government authorities.
